No imessage/facetime connection after switching to id

I really need help with this or will be returning the phone. I have gone from Vodafone to ID. Did the whole PAC thing. I have managed to get everything transferred over. Phone calls and texts work fine. But i cant get the imessage thing to work. I have followed all the recommended steps. Switching off/on. Taking the sim out and force restarting. I have done a network reset. My number and 2 email addresses are showing with a swirling bit beside it. PLEASE HELP I have been trying to figure this out for days

Have you tried turning OFF iMessage for several days, ​@Swilo?

If you used your iD SIM before transferring the number you wanted to keep from Vodafone to iD, then Apple’s iMessage servers will have registered your initial iD number as being linked to your iPhone device.

After switching Apple’s iMessage servers might’ve failed to recognise the mobile number used by your iPhone device has changed.

Turning OFF iMessage on your iPhone for several days may help when you try activating iMessage in the future.

@andewhite i haven't. I will try this. It’s extremely annoying not being able to use it. I’ll give it 2 days of being switched off before returning it. Many thanks for your reply
