Hi there just switched from three network to ID mobile so surely my phone isn't locked Samsung galaxy A40 . I have Internet but no messaging service and no outgoing or incoming calls what's this all about tried looking at the troubleshooting section but no further 2 hours later any ideas ??

Your handset is on the iD Mobile Approved Handsets list so should work.
Do you have VoLTE (Voice over LTE) turned on?
Under settings and network mode you need to see LTE/3G/2G (auto connect).
The 4G network works over LTE and so you need to see this.
Do you know anyone on a different network that you can swap SIMs with to see if that works?
