Had my phone and contract for a while and the other say it just said no sim no service . I've turned it off on and, restarted it, took out and checked the sim. Nothing is working

I’m sorry to hear this, have you tried a network settings reset?
For iPhone;
Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
For most Android;
Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth
For Samsung;
Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings
Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.
If the above doesn’t help, it may be worth trying a replacement SIM card, which can be picked up at any Currys store and activated here.
