no sim no service on existing phone contract


Had my phone and contract for a while and the other say it just said no sim no service . I've turned it off on and, restarted it, took out and checked the sim. Nothing is working

I’m sorry to hear this, have you tried a network settings reset?

 

For iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

 

For most Android;

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

 

For Samsung; 

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings


Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

 

If the above doesn’t help, it may be worth trying a replacement SIM card, which can be picked up at any Currys store and activated here.

I have the same issue but only had the phone 2 days before it said No SIM - No Service

Tried all of the helpful things on the website so need help

My SIM  has been working, yesterday had an issue with it, I had to change my mobile now I have only internet browsing, no phone calls received or making plus if you call on social like WhatsApp, it rings but after 2 minutes of ringing from other side.

What is the coverage showing in your area?

Have you tried resetting your network settings and trying the SIM in a different handset?

When you connect to Wi-Fi do you still have the same issue with Whatsapp?

Thanks for your reply, the matter is resolved, real problem was new list of mobile,s removed to operate on 🆔 mobile network, my Samsung galaxy j3 (2017) was in that list, went to PC Currys 🆔 mobile desk at braehead,  Glasgow, the sales girl informed, I had to buy a new 5g mobile and it started working right away.
