not receiving text messages

New iPhone and contract with ID on Three network a month ago and number ported.

Since then, all texts I send are marked “Not Delivered” even tho they are delivered. It has been taking up to 5 mins for them to be received and if the texts are long they’re often not received at all.

I was receiving texts, sporadically but in the last few days I’m not receiving any at all.

I have Reset Network Settings and checked my phone number is correct in Settings.

I’ve also tried the Sim in my old phone and the problem is the same.

Doesn't this mean the problem lies with the carrier or Sim rather than the phone itself?

What should be my next step?
Any advice most welcome - thanks!

Been happening with both.

but recently, in settings, under iMessage I’m getting “iMessage Activation- an error occurred during activation “ “Activation unsuccessful”

But problems were happening before this, from first getting the phone

Sorry for delay Tom.

Calls and data are fine.

The text problems are the same using both Wi-Fi and mobile network.

Signals are good

Is this happening with your Apple iMessage texts, or SMS text messages or both, @LynTig

Yesterday, texting started working normally - first time since getting the phone a month ago. Bizarre! Hoping it continues.
