Not receiving texts from numbers.

Hi

I'm not receiving texts from all numbers that have tried, recently ported number in without any other apparent problems.

I text them, but no texting reply, when I've called them they advise that they replied.

Any useful info !

Regards

Colin

Have you tried Apple’s online self-service to unlink your mobile number from your ‘old’ corporate iPhone, @EACPD02

Do this online at https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/.

Scroll down for option called “No longer have your iPhone?”.

Have you tried a NETWORK RESET on your handset, @EACPD02

The handset user guide should explain how to do this.

Now done and see what happens. 👍

As far as I know it's not resolved.

It not reliable situation to be in , as texts should be reliable to receive as well as send.

I would like more investigation.

Thanks

Hi @EACPD02

Okay, is this issue all numbers?

On your previous device, have you switched off RCS/iMessage?

Hi.

My previous device was a corporate iiphone 12,as I worked for BT , it just used text message and not rcs, I've turned of rcs , but you don't really know it's happening unless you speak with someone you've texted.

When I had the iPhone one person I know stopped receiving my texts from tha, now I've ported my number across, they're receiving them now.

On this I've at least 5 I'm not receiving them from and there's not a common factor.

It disconcerting as I may miss something important

Hi @EACPD02

Okay, you may need to disconnect iMessage from your number if you are no longer using an iPhone, this can be done via your Apple account on their website.

Well that a wonderful bit of information that I would have had no idea of.

I've filled it in and we'll see what happens.

👍👍👍

Many thanks
