Ok so just ported across keeping my original number and thought all was well until I sent a text message to a friend who said who is this? On testing the theory many of my friends are getting a different number not my number but WhatsApp is OK and my regular contacts seem to be ok its really odd??
I have done the old turn it off and on thing any other suggestions people please??

I am on android. I thought it had sorted but today my sister texted me saying that my number is still different. She sent the message to me old/normal number but when I replied it displays as a different number not me

If you turn OFF the RCS “Chat features” in your Messages app this issue should stop, which would indicate Google RCS servers haven’t recognised your device has a different mobile number.

If by Monday it's still not working log into the Live Chat and in the message box type in there "Speak to a person" Once you've submitted this message an agent should get back to and then you can state your problem.
