My Doctor has been trying to call me from their landline.  The number is not blocked on my phone but they tell me whenever they call it rings once and then goues to voicemail.

What do I need to do to stop this happening?

Hi @Peter Day,

Welcome to the Community!

Do you get this issue with any other numbers?

Please can you try and give them a call and see if you have any problems?

Kash

Do you know if they withhold (block) their outgoing number when calling you?

(my doctors do this)

If you have an Android based phone press the green call button → three ellipsis (⁝)settingsblock numbers → and check to see if the block unknown/private numbers is on or off. Mine used to be on and after more and more medical/business callers started withholding their numbers I had to turn mine off.

(I can’t give you the iPhone method as I’ve not messed with one for a number of years)

No, his seems to be the only number causing tghis problem.

They don’t withhold their number, I had them call my landline and the number came through.

I tried the green call button but don’t see any ellipsis. Will look again tomorrow.   It’s a Google Pixel 8 Pro.

I got onto live chat and they have referred it to the technical team.

Well that’s odd.

I have no idea if trying to delete their number from your mobile phones contacts and then adding it back would help or not.

Yes I should have stated, and sorry about that, that option was for a Samsung phone. I’d guess yours might be similar. Though as you’ve mentioned your doctor doesn’t withhold their number anyway so it wouldn’t apply in your case.
