I've just switched to id and have used my PAC code from previous network. I picked next Friday to switch numbers. Is it possible to do the swap earlier?

Well that’s a positive sign @Relish72

So, 2 suggestions:

If you’re really keen then you could put the iD SIM in now (whenever now ends up being), wait until it springs into life and go from there. However, what can (not always) happen is your phone registers the number of the SIM allocated by iD, thus your phone ‘remembers’ that number and when your number becomes active it can screw up making/receiving calls and incoming/outgoing texts as the phone uses that provisioned number and not yours. If you do decide you simply can’t wait and have this issue there are some things you/we can try to resolve this.

Or, you should get a text (which obviously you won’t know about) and from memory an email too, stating you’re good to go. At that point I’d switch the phone off, swap the SIMs out, switch the phone on and leave it for about 10 mins. Then, maybe, during that time it’ll ping the text. From there you should then be up and running.🤞

Any probs, give us a shout👍

Hi there @Relish72

I very much doubt this could be brought forward as it should be an automated process.

The only thing I suggest is to leave your old SIM card in the phone and wait until that shows no service.

Then turn your phone off, put your new iD SIM in and then turn the phone back on. If the process is complete you should then receive a text from iD.

Hi @Relish72, @Daz_S is right here. Once the number transfer is completed, you should receive a text message sent through to your new iD SIM card.

If the switch hasn’t taken place, and your old SIM isn’t working, your old network may have disconnected the existing account. If this is the case don’t worry, the number transfer should still go through as normal.

We would also be able to see if it’s possible to cancel off the existing number transfer and reprocess for an earlier date.

If you need any further assistance with this, just let us know here and we’ll be happy to send you a PM.
