PAC Code Request - Exchange Numbers & Network Issue

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request PAC codes for my two exchange numbers. I wish to transfer them between providers.

For the past four months, I have experienced inconsistent internet service in Stevenage. Consequently, I obtained a PAC code from another provider, but their network is also inadequate.

To resolve this, I require a PAC code from ID Mobile for the number ending 681, which is used by various government and other sector organizations. I would like to exchange PAC codes with the other provider to facilitate a smooth transfer.

Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

Kind regards,

Waqas Ul Manan

Hi @Waqas Ul Manan

You can request a PAC code using any of the following methods:-

By Text:

Simply send the word "PAC" (without the quotation marks) to the short code 65075 from your iD SIM. iD Mobile will then send you a text message containing your PAC code.

Via the iD Mobile App:

  • You can then request a PAC code.
  • Log in to the My iD App.
  • Go to My Account > End my plan.

Online:

  • Log in to your My iD Account online.
  • Go to My Account > End my plan.
  • You can then request a PAC code

Hope this helps x

Thank you for your response. However, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment that the issue has not been resolved.

Despite a lengthy conversation and significant time spent explaining my situation, the agent was either unable to understand the core problem or was constrained by inflexible company policies. This has caused me considerable inconvenience.

As I previously explained, the ongoing network issues have severely impacted my earnings and caused significant delays in my work. This has also negatively affected my work performance, hindering my ability to meet targets. Furthermore, I have incurred an additional £65 in expenses due to these problems.

I had hoped that the agent would understand my situation and allow for the exchange of numbers, but I was informed that this was not possible due to company policy.

Unfortunately, this continued to disrupt my work. Therefore, I was forced to find an alternative solution by purchasing a new phone and SIM card from a different provider.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson. In the future, I will avoid purchasing phones on yearly subscription contracts. Instead, I will purchase phones outright and use pay-as-you-go or top-up plans.

While I am deeply disappointed with the outcome of this situation, I hope that my feedback will be taken into consideration to improve customer service and address similar issues in the future.

Sincerely,

Waqas Ul Manan

Hey there @Waqas Ul Manan, thank you for your feedback and we sincerely apologise for the poor experience you’ve had with us.

To leave us whilst in contract, you’d have to pay a termination fee for leaving early which has been mentioned to you via the chat. If you’re having coverage issues, we’d need to investigate those further and try and resolve before we can discuss or look into a possible free, early release.

Thanks,

Tyler
