Customer service,Out of contract,still being billed 26.96 pounds month.How do I go about 

cancelling the direct debit and keep my number.

Are you looking to leave iD? You have a few different options, you should have received an email towards the end of your contract which would have explained these, this may have gone to your junk/spam folders in error.
