Payment taken twice

Contact from ID saying DD failed and asking for payment. I paid by card straight away. Then double checked DD details were correct. Two days later ID accused bank via DD and took payment again. How do I contact them to get credit or will they put account into credit? Account is not currently showing as in credit.

If you have paid twice, it will add to your account as credit and pay for/towards your next bill automatically, or, we can refund the amount back to you if you prefer.

 

Has two payments definitely left your bank account?

The same things happened to me..since last Oct 2024 since an app update my Dd failed apparently..message from ID..  I made card payment ..the Dd taken ..I've noticed aswell from my payments ID billing I've been billed twice a month and been paying it.. wtf… had endless messages saying we've reinstated your DD .. “ you've disputed your DD” no I havnt .. the bank has disputed your DD .. no they havnt .. perhaps they've noticed that on the 5th of the month then the 10th of the month the exact same payments amounts have left my bank to pay you .. what the hells going on and now my husbands ID account is receiving the same messages apparently since Nov 🤷🏼‍♀️ .. so I'm paying double for my contract and we don't even know about my husbands..
