Phone Displaying Emergency Calls Only

When my phone is is "resting", it displays emergency calls only. Yet I can make calls.

Why is that?

Then your phone is receiving a signal. As to why your phone is showing an exclamation mark or displaying “emergency calls only”, try asking Oppo. In the meantime, maybe try a SIM replacement.

If “emergency calls only” is displayed, then it’s likely you have no signal. The reason you’re still able to make and receive calls is probably because you have Wi-Fi calling enabled.

Don't think I have WiFi calling. Just searched my settings for WiFi calling and it wasn't found.

Puzzling.

The Oppo A15 supports Wi-Fi calling, but the exact steps to enable it may vary depending on the carrier and device settings. According to a discussion on the O2 Community, users have found that Wi-Fi calling can be enabled by navigating to "Settings > Wi-Fi and Internet > SIM and Network" and then toggling the Wi-Fi calling option for the respective SIM slot.

Found that and it's set at on. So, that explains it!

Thanks.

Just tried making a call with WiFi calling turned off, and it still worked.

Hi @Michael Duffy

Definitely a strange one, a replacement SIM card could be worth a shot.

Thanks for the help here, @WelshPaul.

It's not really a problem, phone works perfectly despite the emergency calls only. I'm just wondering if there's other id mobile customers in the Glasgow area that are getting the same m message.
