I want to port my number to another Network as I'm not happy with ID however I'm tied into a 2 year contract which I want my son to take over and import his number. Is this possible please?

No, if you port out, the plan will be closed, and you will receive a final bill which will include an early termination fee.

Hey there @GHC, as kindly advised by @WelshPaul, if you leave during the contract term, you’d receive a termination fee for leaving early.

If you’re having issues with us, please explain these further so we can assist you here?

Thanks,

Tyler

The neutwork coverage isn't great I've had a new sim and it's still the same.  However i haven't said I wanted to leave just that I wanted to transfer my number to another sum without ending the contract

If you are wanting to port from iD to iD, I’m afraid that isn’t possible @GHC

As you are not able to port your number within the same network (i.e. port from iD to iD), only upgrade; you can port your current iD number from your current contract to a Pay As You Go SIM. You would then be able to port this back to a new iD contract. This is otherwise known as a triangular port. Or you can cancel your current contract and keep a new one with a new number. I hope this helps explain things, but if you have any further questions, please let us know.

Thanks.

Basically what I want to do is transfer my boys lebara number to the ID contract I have and transfer my number out to a different lebara sim. Is that possible and if so how?

Ah OK I understand @GHC

Your son will need to obtain a PAC from Lebara and port it into iD here - Switch | iD Mobile Network

If you are looking to leave the iD plan then your son wouldn’t be able to port into it, as if you request a PAC to keep your iD number to move it elsewhere, this will cancel the iD plan and disconnect it.

It would be best for your son to move to a new iD plan, that way you can still keep your number. You can find out more here - Leaving iD | iD Mobile Network

I hope this helps.

Ah OK, I am afraid that would not be possible @GHC  as if you port your number out, it will generate a termination fee for the remaining 20 months of the contract.

You can port your sons number over to the plan, but you would then lose your number.

Sorry we couldn’t work this out @GHC  but it just wouldn’t be possible without either you losing the number, or a large termination fee.

How much would the termination fee? Would it be the length of my contract fee?

Hey there @GHC, it would be the remainder of your contract, yes, so all payments rolled into one payment.

Thanks,

Tyler
