Hi @Epea

We can try a replacement SIM card regarding the RCS Chats and see if that can resolve the matter if you like. You can do via the app via the steps below.

Here’s how you can request a replacement SIM card in the iD Mobile app:

Open the iD Mobile app on your smartphone and sign in to your account.

Go to “Plan” (your current plan details).

Scroll down and look for “Your SIM/eSIM” or SIM & phone management.

Tap “Request a replacement SIM or eSIM.”

Choose “Get a replacement SIM.” You’ll usually be prompted to confirm your address for delivery.

Confirm and submit, your replacement SIM is then ordered and posted to you.

After you receive the new SIM, you’ll need to insert it into your phone and activate it through the iD Mobile app or online account before it will work.

If you’re unable to do this in the app, you can also contact iD Mobile’s Live Chat support, and they can order the replacement SIM for you to be sent by post or reply here and we will send you a private message to assist you.

Android : Pixel 9 Pro
Followed all the guidelines/suggestions to no avail.

Turn off RCS / clear cache-storage / restart / turn on / verify etc etc x3 : Nope (even entered own number during verify phase)

Checked my phone number on the google account and the number shown included the original SIM one (weird).

Delete dud number from google account

Turn on RCS - nope, still dud number.

Repeat Turn off RCS / clear cache-storage / restart / turn on / verify etc etc x3 : Nope.

Clear storage and cache (again).

Network reset : nah : try a simpler and marginally less brutal approach first.

Uninstall Google Messages app, restart phone, Google Messages auto re-installed.

Settings : check RCS number and finally my actual number is shown - Sorted - I think after checking with a friend.

I was going to try uninstalling the messages app but it's only letting me force stop...so now I'm sti stuck on the other number
