Refer a friend, still pending

Hi 

I referred a friend in January. I received an email to confirm the referral but have not received the gift.

You've now advised that I need to use this gift ASAP but in my account it says it is pending still. 

With the changes to the scheme info is now confusing regarding what I need to do.

Please can you clarify what I need to do?
