replacement eSim

I am buying a new iPhone to replace my current iphone.  When I get a replacement eSIM (I understand I need to do this in order to use my new phone) will it contain my current phone number? I am not changing contract or provider simply updating my physical iPhone. I really do not want to lose my number.

Just request a replacement eSIM and install it on your new iPhone.

Replacement eSIM

To get a replacement eSIM, you can use the iD Mobile app or my.idmobile.co.uk. Here are the steps:

  • Tap 'Plan'
  • Scroll down
  • Tap SIM & phone management
  • Tap Request a replacement SIM or eSIM
  • Tap Get a replacement eSIM
  • Double check your Billing email address
  • Tap Continue
  • Tap Yes, I want a new eSIM
  • Complete! Tap Done

Alternatively, you can chat to the Live Chat team, and they will be able to issue you a replacement eSIM, which will be sent to the account holder's email.

If you are already registered for the app, you can download it onto your new phone and request an eSIM from there.
