Hi, I've just upgraded to a new device (not received yet) and plan and just received a text saying I have used all my 30GB roaming allowance...is this an error, can anyone advise please? Thank you.

Hi @Tara B, have you been abroad recently, or have you been in the UK while the text message has been sent?

We have received a few reports recently to say that the automated text has been sent in error while the customer has been home.

If this is the case, feel free to ignore the texts. No extra charges will be incurred.

I’d take a casual stab at this being an error. The how and the why should be the concerning questions.

Are you using “roaming” on the “old” device? is the old device still in use?

Thanks for your reply.  I'm still waiting for the new device.  Just changed from sim only to contract with new device.

Hi Lauren, I was in the UK  when sent.  I am due to go abroad soon and hope I am able to use my allowance before being charged extra.

Thanks for getting back to me.
