Roaming experience terrible in Spain using Pixel 7

Hi, I'm on unlimited everything (yes I know that's 30gb roaming) and struggled to make calls/text/data since arriving in Spain a week ago. Checked APN and it's "id". Tried restarting phone several times. Tried autoselect network and manual select. Tried resetting internet.

What am I missing?

Hi @Julian.westwood,

Sorry to hear that you are still having issues.

Please can you test the SIM in a different handset to see if that improves things?

Kash

Hi @Julian.westwood

Sorry to hear this, what network are you connected to while in Spain? We rely on Yoigo and Movistar in that region, we’d recommend using manual network connection and switching the either of those.

Have you tried a network settings reset?

For iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

For most Android;

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

For Samsung;

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for your response.

Tried all of those repeatedly and none of it helped. Id get a brief connection then it would go again.

Then on occasion I would get 4/5G for a couple of minutes then it's would go again.

I'm going to ditch id at the earliest opportunity and will have to rely on e Sims when travelling. Not a good network at all.

Thanks for your response Kash.

I'm back from Spain now so I can't test it.

I also can't rely on iD so I'll be using an esim from another network.

It really is too difficult to find and too slow to receive support on this network.

Hi @Julian.westwood

It’s worth noting the community isn’t going to be the quickest place to get support or assistance from a member of iD Mobile, for quick responses you may be best trying with the Live Chat.
