roaming in china and vietnam

I am travelling to Shanghai on 14th June, from there to Hanoi on 19th June and will stay in Vietnam till 9th July. I need to get roaming for these destinations while I am away. What do I need to do?

Hi @Tony Chu. @andewhite is correct here. Roaming outside of the EU can be expensive. If you haven’t already, it could also be worthwhile to consider a local SIM.

Roaming with your iD SIM in China and Vietnam will be expensive, @Tony Chu. 

My suggestion is buy a travel data-only eSIM for your handset, assuming it’s eSIM capable, which covers these countries.

Google “travel eSIM” to see some options. The eSIM plans from https://roamless.com look interesting.
