I can’t get 4/5g when overseas.  The id instructions say to go to “mobile services” on my phone but this doesn’t exist?

Thanks.  My roaming is on.  But also I have “add e sim”.  I had added last week - perhaps it didn’t work?   When I try again it says eSIM no longer active

The option to add an eSIM is normal. You can add more than one eSIM. If the eSIM hadn’t installed correctly, you wouldn’t have a signal.

Ok.  Thanks.  So if my roaming is on why no 4/5G?

What do you mean no 4G/5G? You have two bars of signal in the screenshot above so you’re getting a service of some kind.

That is analogue phone signal   When I’m out I cannot connect to the internet via 4/5G.  I can only connect with WiFi.

There’s no analogue phone signal. Your phone clearly shows two bars of 3G/4G/5G signal and a strong WiFi connection.

So, to be clear, your issue isn’t anything to do with the signal, but the data isn’t working when WiFi is off?

Yes, you’re right (apologies - I do t understand the various signals).  Thanks

I’d suggest performing a network reset. If the data still isn’t working it might not be a problem with your device or ID Mobile but rather the network you’re roaming on. You could try manually selecting one of the other networks ID Mobile has roaming agreements with.

Ok.  Will try reset (but did this last week after advice from yourselves). How do i manually check different networks?  Thanks

Hi @sturgeonben

The network to connect to is 3 ITA or Wind.
You need to untick Automatic.

Thanks,
Hosai

Thanks Hosal.  Can you describe how to find network manually.

To manually select a network on an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Network Selection, turn off the Automatic toggle, and then tap the desired carrier from the list that appears. You can also select a specific eSIM if you have multiple lines.

Joe 🙂
