Signal strength regularly dropping

Though network status for my postcode shows no issues, I’m regularly seeing the signal strength on my Huawei router dropping from 5 bars to 1, with subsequent speed deterioration; could this be a Router issue, or the local mast [which I can see across the fields]?

Hi @Geluk,

It sounds like there may be congestion at the mast at specific times.

Is it something you are experiencing everyday?

Hi @Geluk

Please could you let us know the postcode(s) where you’re having this issue?

It’s worth noting that we don’t officially support any routers at this time, usage of an iD Mobile SIM within one may not work correctly.

Regularly dropping to 2 bars especially in evenings; local mast is at Stanmore Reservoir, north of Newbury.

Mast postcode RG20 8SR.

same drop early evening down to 2 bars from 5; surely 3’s monitoring logs must highlight this?

Will contention drop the router’s signal bars?

Mainly early evening; if I do nothing it’ll recover after an hour or so.

Other users 0f this router supplied by 3 have similar issues and it’s suggested

rebooting clears the RAM memory stack which may be the issues.
