I have an iphone 8. It was locked to o2 but it has now been unlocked by them.

When I  insert my new idmobile sim into the phone, I  get the message below. Please can anyone help sith a simple solution for a technophobe?

"The Sim card that you currently have installed in this iphone is from a carrier that is not supproted under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. this is not a hardware issue with the iphone. please insert another sim card from a supported carrier or request that this iphone be unlocked by your carrier.please contact apple for more information."

Hi @argalargin,

I’m afraid that the message you have there means that the phone is still network locked. We would advise contacting the previous network to ask for help unlocking it. You may also need to connect the phone to iTunes on a PC to update the phone and its carrier settings once an unlock has been requested/processed.
