sim card not working

Hi

I have the Samsung galaxy z flip 5 and I’m struggling to get sim to work, I’ve tried ESIM but it only works with WiFi on. So I ordered a replacement physical sim and that has the same issue. I’ve tried different SIM cards in my phone and they work straight away, I’ve tried my ID sim in another phone and it works straight away. The sim only seems to work with WiFi calling on, if I turn that off it I’m not connected to WiFi then I have no signal and says emergency calls only.

I’ve done all the network resets and tried to connect to network manually but nothing works. Please could anyone help?

many thanks.

Hi there @Lewbow, sorry to hear that.

If you’ve tried out SIM card in another device, and it works, then that’d point more towards a device or setting issue, opposed to our SIM or coverage.

Have you ensured all previous activated SIM cards are removed/deleted from the phone, with only the activated SIM card from us inside?

    Thanks,

    Tyler

Yeah I’ve tried all that, it connects to ID mobile with WiFi and WiFi calling turned on but as soon as you turn them off it doesn’t work. I’ve tried 2 different SIM cards from different providers and they work straight away in the phone. I’m all out of ideas.

Hi there @Lewbow, sorry to hear that. So as soon as you turn off Wi-Fi and/or Wi-Fi calling, you have no signal at all?

    Thanks,

    Tyler

Yeah it just says emergency calls only, and as soon as it’s turned back on it connects to ID straight away

Hi there @Lewbow, sorry to hear that. Do you have more than one SIM card in your device, one from us and one from another network at all, or only ours?

Have you only noticed this issue at home, or everywhere you go?

    Thanks,

    Tyler

Just one SIM card with ID, and it happens everywhere

No problem, sorry to hear that @Lewbow. How long have you had this issue for please, since joining us? If so, when did you join us?

    Thanks,

Only happened a couple days ago as I got a new phone, I had eSIM before but that wasn’t working on the new phone that’s why I tried physical sim. I’ve been with ID for a few months now and had no problems prior to this

Hi there @Lewbow, that’s odd. If it worked beforehand, and the iD SIM works in another device, then that’d point more toward the device having issues than anything else. Have you tried resetting network settings and restarting your phone?

Also, when you go to network selection, is iD selected?

    Thanks,

    Tyler

Tried all that yeah, and no ID doesn’t appear on network list
