Sim failure


My wife has a new phone today & get message *Sim failure* each time I switch on. I have tried all troubleshooting tips but none are working. HELP please

 

To add, new phone is an Iphone 14 & her previous was an Iphone 11. Sim is also saying Sim failure when placing into the Ipjhone 11

 

I have cleaned the sim & tray gently. Switched to airplane mode & turned off & on again. None of these have worked.
