My son’s phone was stolen. We have bought a replacement handset. We called id mobile to inform them. We went to Currys and got a replacement sim. Given the impression that we just pop it in new phone and ll good to go. New sim is in handset but doesn’t seem to be connected to network. No messages etc. Tried going on id mobile website but required me to log in with details again and insists on sending. Text verification to the mobile number , but obviously it’s not connected to network. Is there another step I’m missing ? Could the phone number need unblocking ?

You’ll need to activate the replacement SIM card, we’d recommend the link below to do so;
