Tethering to a PC and smart TV

I want to purchase an ID unlimited data SIM card because I am moving to a new development where the postcode has not yet been set up for broadband services. Will it be easy to tether my ID SIM so that I can access the Internet on my PC and smart TV? Please advise. Thank you

Hi @gulfgirl

There’s nothing on our side that would stop you using your iD Mobile SIM card in your device, setting up a hotspot and connecting your TV, PC or other devices to it.

Well @gulfgirl, while iD allow tethering, they also say that their SIM cards are only supported for use in mobile phones.

This doesn’t mean your mobile broadband router won’t work with an iD SIM, but if you ever had a problem iD Mobile wouldn’t help.

I frequently do this but bear in mind the time of day when networks can get busy that buffering may occur more than would otherwise.
