I am considering the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G but 5G in my area is only listed as outside, not inside the house. Would it automatically switch between 5G & 4G which is 100% in our area.

With the Samsung Galaxy A16, you can toggle the setting to stop it automatically swithing between 4G and 5G.
Open the Settings app
Navigate: Connection - Mobile networks -Network operators
Tap the ‘Select automatically’ switch to turn on or off.
