Triangle Port - best option?

Due to ID mobiles ridiculous policy of wanting to charge a longstanding customer of 5+ years over £150 more for an upgrade compared to a new customer- we are going to have to triangle port.

Can anyone who has done this recently reccomend a suitable 'donor' SIM for the old number?

It seems some networks hold the number to ransom without a large top up or minimum term.

Many thanks

Unfortunately, it’s an industry standard. You and I were a new customer at some point and you and I also had a ‘new customer’ deal at that time.

All you need to do is port out to a pay-go SIM and port back. Gone are the days of doing this for free though! Look for a provider that offers £5 top-ups! I used EE to do my triangle port. You’re still £145 better off!

Asda & Three are popular and pretty sure you don’t have to top up.
