There is no clarity or guidence on How to validate the porting and whom to reach if there is a problem. Can anyone please help as its been 2 days I have no calls coming in and unable to make.

Surprisingly the data is fine.

My phone is 5G enabled but I did only set to use 4G. Also enabled voLTE. Still not working.

Thanks in advance.

Hey there @mallesh_kota, is the issue only with calls please?

When you go into phone settings, is your phone number showing correctly?

What phone do you have, and what’s your full postcode?

Thanks,

Tyler

Hi Tyler

I reside at PR9 Southport near the coast.

I went in to settings and have connected via wi-fi using my talktalk internet.

This enables me to make calls but is there a mast down in my area ?

kind regards, Mark

Hi Nat my number was ported on the 4/12 I’ve since been to curry’s to get a new sim as she checked my phone and it wasn’t working had the new sim activated yesterday 9/12 and I’m still unable to make or receive calls and texts, I have an iPhone 14

ivr checked the signal for this area NG10 and it says the signal for 4G is excellent

hope you can help, or I’m thinking of cancelling this contract and going back to my old phone and EE

Same problem as others, number ported yesterday and can receive and send messages, can make outgoing calls, but incoming calls still go to old phone/network, tried resetting both phones and other options, was told by live chat that it would resolve itself by yesterday evening but still getting incoming calls to old network instead of this one. Did anyone have success fixing this?

Hi @Levon

Okay, is the issue just calls? How are texts and data?

Is the issue everywhere or just these areas?

Tom

Hi @aggiebmx

Sorry to hear this, if the issue is just incoming calls, it may be worth trying the following;

Please also ensure to remove/delete any old network SIM cards you do not wish to use.

Tom

Hi Tom

The issue is with 4G.

It works in Southport town centre and cuts off as soon I arrive at my home less than 2 miles away PR9 9XT.

Yes Mark (@Levon), we need a working mobile service to use WiFi calling. It still uses you mobile number and uses your call allowance too, even if you use WiFi.

In simple terms rather than the call going via the phone masts it directs the call via the broadband.

Thanks Daz. The problem I have is that 4G is temporarily not working in my area, according to ID Mobile but I don’t know how long it will take to repair. The problem started a few days before the big storm and there is no information on the worldwide web to help. The website checker recommended by ID Mobile just says ‘’ we are having issue etc etc’’ but gives no time frame.
