Got a random call from someone who quoted the last digits of my number. Said you wanted to replace my physical SIM card and would send one by post. Started to ask me to confirm address, then email. I called a line when he asked for DoB. Is this genuine ID policy or so scam?

Hi @GjF,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

From what you've described, this does sound like a scam. We'd recommend blocking and reporting the number.

iD Mobile will never call you unexpectedly to ask you to confirm personal information such as your address, email address, date of birth or banking details unless you've specifically requested a call from us.

If you've shared any sensitive information, particularly banking or payment details, we'd recommend contacting your bank immediately so they can monitor your account and take any necessary action. We'd also suggest changing your iD Mobile account password and the password for your email account to help protect against any fraudulent activity.

If you have any concerns that your iD Mobile account may have been compromised, please contact our Customer Service team via Live Chat so they can review your account and provide further assistance.

Thanks, they called again and wanted to reset my password. Gave them a piece of my mind, hung up and blocked number.
