upgrade bill

Recently upgraded from a SIM only to a phone contract.

Was paying £7 a month. New contract is £34.99

Which I've paid already on the 21st of August.(£7)

Billing date is the 21st of each month.

The new contract luckily started on the 21st (August)

Just checked my new contract bill and it says my first bill will be £50.41.

How can this be correct.

Surely as my new contract fell on the same day as my original contract it should be £34.99. why is it more ?

Can anyone explain.

Hi @Nindagley

I’d recommend checking the following page about this;

TLDR; Your bill was issued before your upgrade happened, therefore charging at the old rate, it will charge at that old rate but the next bill will credit back anything owed.
