I have just received my new phone (Galaxy A35) and I am wondering how straightforward it will be to transfer all my apps and files from the old one (Galaxy A22). I am not going to make the changeover (even though new contract has started) until I know I will be able to reliably carry on without missing a beat.

I think Samsung have an app for that job, @Si G

Their app should be available in the Play Store - just search for “Samsung Smart Switch”, or something similar.

Don't forget to copy any contacts you might have stored on your old SIM.

Check your downloads folder, mine didn't copy all the files.

Good luck

Thanks both, that’s very helpful. Does it matter which phone has the sim card when I download and use the Samsung Smart Switch app? The sim card is not being replaced, just moving across to the new phone.

@Si G,

If the contacts are saved on the handset it doesn’t matter which handset the SIM is in.
