UPGRADE TO A HANDSET?

If you have poor credit - how many months of payments are required before you are likely to be accepted to take a contract out with a handset?

If you’re purchasing a new contract with us, then the credit check will determine if you’re eligible to purchase a specific handset. You can consult your credit score for free on sites like https://www.clearscore.com/ or https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/check-free-credit-report/

If you’re currently on a SIM only plan already and looking to upgrade, then it’s as @andewhite suggested. You can look at upgrading after 6 months of good payment history. The devices you’d be eligible for will be based on your credit score, so some handsets may not be available to purchase.

It says the following on the iD website, @skinnychav.

Looks like you need at least 6-months payment history, before you might be eligible for a handset contract.
