virtual Sim - phone number not saving

Several months ago I switched to ID Mobile from 3 and was allocated a temporary number whilst my new number was ported. I am unable to save my new number to my iPhone. I have tried switching g off iMessage and FaceTime and restarting my phone but this doesn’t work.
 

After entering my phone number and pressing ‘Save’, nothing happens. 

I am using a virtual Sim

Did you have a 3 eSIM in your iPhone when you switched to iD, ​@Barry Graham

No I had a physical sim

Assuming you’ve removed the 3 physical SIM from your iPhone, have you tried a network reset on the iPhone with your iD eSIM, ​@Barry Graham

Are you using iOS version 18.3.1 on the iPhone with your iD eSIM?

Yes 18.3.1

Yes physical sim removed.

Okay ​@Barry Graham, the iOS option for resetting network settings oftens helps ‘force’ the SIM/eSIM to recognise the mobile number, for your iD network connection, has changed (following a number transfer).
