Voicemail reading out callers numbers

Hi All - does anyone else find it really annoying every time you get a voicemail and you have to listen to the entire phone number being read to you first before you can listen to the message? 

Has anyone found a way around this? I will know the callers number anyway from the missed call list on my phone, i don’t need it being read out to me again, and when you have several voicemails it adds a lot of wasted time.

I was also wondering whether we can opt to use a 3rd party voicemail instead but looks like most of them are only available in the US :-(

Have you looked at “HulloMail” @poxona?

The company is London based I think, with the only snag being it’s not free - £2.99/month, so 10p a day.

The company is London based I think, with the only snag being it’s not free - £2.99/month, so 10p a day.

Thanks, this is exactly what i was looking for. Shame it’s not free but great it also provides visual voicemail!

this is so annoying. Waste of my time listening to the number being read to me before the message. Is this something to do by dialling voicemail and changing settings re how voicemail is played back to you? What is the message header/body setting??

Press "1" while the voice is reading the phone number and then it skips forward to the actual voicemail message.

It’s not something that we can change or that you can change via the settings from what I am aware.

Do you get any options at all?

Have you tried pressing 3 whilst listening to the voicemail.
