when texting why does a different number to my old ported number shows at the received person?

Sent two text messages to different people both received my message but did not know who I was due to the number received not being my ported number. However, both people receiving my message had different numbers!

    Yer, made no help, can't find half the item on the Samsung as per the list given by Andrew!
