why am i billed for international calls when i make no international calls?

Many of my bills contain charges for international call but I make no international calls. Why is this?

Hello @Ronr,

That sounds very strange.

Have you looked at the invoice breakdown where all calls itemised - this will be in your monthly bill?

You might be able to spot something there - anyway good luck.

And until you get this sorted you could turn OFF international calling for your account.

Sign-in to your My Account online and toggle the international option OFF:

My Services > International.
 

I see, it just says 'International' and in fact the charges are for texts. I haven't ever been charged for international text messages by any other provider, ever, so this has not occurred to me. Thanks for the answers.

Thanks @Ronr, glad the issue is resolved.

I’ve used a few of the other mobile networks in the UK, and they’ve all charged for texting abroad. The charges actually vary quite widely from company to company.

These days most people use WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram to send messages abroad for free.
