Question

Why can i not make international calls?

Hello,

I have read your website, enabled international roaming in my account, and checked the band 1 destinations.

I am on holiday in Poland and am trying to call the UK, I've changed the number to start with 0044 and nothing is happening, no dial tone or ringing sound, just a strange echo and no noise.

But I can call mobiles in UK and my parents house. It's just this one number. Maybe they are closed, I'll call again later.

I also couldn't call Poland yesterday from UK, it wouldn't work.

Also my data stopped working when I arrived here so I have no internet unless I get on the WiFi.

Why is this if you offer roam like at home and use of minutes and data when abroad within band 1 countries and Poland is one of them?

Thanks

Rose

Your iD account bill cap needs to be large for an international call from UK to Poland.
Calling Poland from the UK is not classified as roaming, and the charges are as follows:

If your account’s bill cap is £0, you can’t make any international calls.

Hey @Rose Szarowicz,

Make sure the number you call is +44 if you are ringing from Poland.

For example 07123456789 would be +447123456789

As for international calls, please see as @andewhite  mentioned above.

You’ll also need to enable International services in the iD app/account for this.
