why isnt data working in amsterdam but calls and texts are

Please can someone advise on this? My son is in Amsterdam and cannot access the interneT

he has lots of data left and has roaming switched on. He can make calls and texts. I got him to try this but on his phone set, under the settings for mobile

data, there is no option to select id as the directions below suggest. Any ideas? Thank you 🙏🏻

Hi @nat2022springer

To reset network settings, we’d recommend the below;

For iPhone;

Settings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

For most Android;

Settings > System > Reset options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth

For Samsung;

Settings > General management > Reset > Reset mobile network settings

Resetting network settings will NOT reset any personal data (Photos, Videos, Contacts etc) only network settings.

The handset roaming mobile data option might be off, or the APN value could be incorrect, @nat2022springer

As noted, the correct APN value is “id” in lowercase.

If the APN settings aren’t accessible on the handset, try a NETWORK RESET.

🤞

Thank you for replying, not sure how to do a network reset?

this is his phone

 Under network selection these are his options on his handset, nothing says id ? Thank you

The handset user guide usually explains reset procedures, @nat2022springer

Otherwise, trust Google and Google how to perform a NETWORK RESET, on the handset with the iD SIM.

🤞
