Im wanting to get a sim with ID that is excellent value for money, but it comes with a 5g sim. My daughter has an iphone XR which is only 4g compatible. Will my daughter be able to access her 4g data, even though its a 5g sim card on the deal?

Yes, the SIM will work with the older 3G and 4G technologies, in addition to being 5G ready

Thank you, thats what i thought, surely it defaults to 4g when 5g isnt available.
I cannot tell you how hard its been to get an answer to this from ID and mobiles.co.uk! :) Kept getting told, “no 5g will not work”. As long as 4g works, thats all i need to know….

If 5G isn’t available the SIM would automatically switch to 4G as long as it is available in your area.
