Hi there

Is there a way to with hold number just for one call only, without the need to go into the phones settings and change it there?

I see 141 does not work

    Hi @myself123,

    Thank you for your message.

I understand you want to hide your number for a single call without changing your permanent phone settings.

On the iD Mobile network, the standard 141 prefix is not supported. Because of this, the only way to withhold your number is to temporarily change the setting directly on your handset before making the call, and then switch it back afterward.

Here is how you can do it quickly:

    • iPhone: Go to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID and toggle it off.
    • Android: Open the Phone app > tap the three dots (Menu) > Settings > Supplementary Services (or More/Additional Settings) > Show Caller ID and select "Hide number".

    Thanks,

I read on another ID thread you could use *32# hide number and  #31# to show number.

When trying *32# followed by number, then press to dial, I get an error come up, so assumed they no longer work?

    TIA

    Hi @myself123.

    Thank you for your post.

Dialing *32# followed by a phone number is not a universal standard feature, those codes can vary by country and network, and some carriers don’t support them at all.

For hiding or showing your number on iD Mobile, the most reliable method is via your phone’s settings.

If you’d like, we can review your device settings together via Live Chat; https://www.idmobile.co.uk/live-chat to get this working as expected.
