Bill Cap Fraud and bitter customer service

Hi,

I am still a customer at idmobile but I want to share a nasty experience I had recently with the customer service. I wanted to disconnect my previous plan and start a new plan before my contract period ends. I consumed all the allocated data and I have been given extra data without my concern by activating a 25 pounds bill cap on my account. I did not intend to use any extra data out of my allocation. Funny thing is I have been charged 20 pounds for just as little as 100 MB. Can you imagine, how expensive this extra data is?. I did not even know that a bill cap has already been activated. Customer service could not find the last direct debit payment even after I have sent all the proofs of the payment from my side.

I wanted to claim a refund since I have cancelled the plan before my contract ends but the customer service strongly stuck to their opinion which I do not desrve a refund since they have given me an extra 100 MB even without my consent. How hard I have been through to explain these to the customer service but they took it as a bothering.

I was recommending idmobile to my friends as it is a good network connection but because of their bad customer service, lack of transparency of billing and payments, unbelievable extra charges, I will not recommend idmobile to anybody anymore.

The customer service was poor because they wouldn’t refund you for a service you’d used. You’d set a £25 bill cap and run out of inclusive data. This resulted in you being charged for the extra data you used and the cap kicked in.

That’s not crap service!

I woud not set a £25 bill cap and it was already set and I being charged £20 for just as little as 100 MB. I did not even know that I have been given extra data. What can I use 100 MB for?? do you think I would ever spend £20 for 100MB. It was an unwelcome service given to me. Do you call it a service? 😊

How did you get your plan? The bill cap defaults to zero when purchasing via idmobile.co.uk and you need to manually increase it.

I ordered it from the idmobile site. The bill cap had already been set to £25 when I purchased it but I did not know that. The cap should have set to zero as you mentioned but it was not. That is why I am pointing this out, otherwise I would have ignored this if it was my fault. I knew that my bill cap had been set up to £25, after I received the final bill.
