Hi there @Shanby29

It can take up to 24 hours after the payment is made before the phone is ‘released’.

You can try restarting the phone from time to time to see if this speeds things along. I’d guess to say maybe every hour or so.

so, which means I’m gonna pay less next month. I should not wait. 24 hours. Payment has been made this is unacceptable

I don’t make the rules, but understand what you’re saying.

Out of interest how long after failing to pay the bill does the services become restricted? If it’s for example 5 hours then the reinstallation should also be the same time, or so you’d think.

As I suggested restart the phone, it may bring the time down 🤞

I don’t know whether you are representative or you just enjoy replying to people or maybe you work for them I don’t know the point is this as soon as you fail to make the payment. The line is cut off but as soon as you have made the payment, the line should be reinstated immediately as simple, as that may I’m paying money here and every year as you know it keeps going up and another thing there’s nowhere to call them. There’s no way to speak to them. I’ve never come across with a phone company that you cannot communicate with them directly mind-boggling

Anyway thanks for your help. All is well, but I had to make my point no point of communication is a big no-no so hopefully they can work at this and sort this out. You call them on the phone and you got this automated service telling you your bill is up-to-date so you tried to ring a number you get the same thing again. Your bill is up-to-date so I can’t ring the person and I’m trying to call if my bill is up-to-date

I’m not staff, just another customer with my own iD issues, but help others, or at least try to.

So what you’ve said earlier makes sense then. Although they say the payment will be taken on or around the same time each month, as soon as the payment becomes overdue they restrict the service immediately. Then you pay and it doesn’t immediately come back on.

To avoid incurring price rises you could have opted for one of their 30 SIM only deals as these don’t increase in price like 12/24 month deals do.

I’ve never tried using the automated service and probably never will. But yes they don’t have a telephone number for service support. I agree with you, I too would prefer to be able to use my mobile to, you know, actually talk using it.

Honestly it was no problem, some days I do enjoy helping, though for some it just passes the time away.

But glad to hear it’s now sorted.
