In the meantime, there are a couple of quick things that may help narrow down the cause:

Check our coverage checker for your specific area: https://www.idmobile.co.uk/help-and-advice/coverage.

Try removing and reinserting your SIM card. Switch the phone off first, and make sure the SIM sits firmly in the tray.

If possible, try your SIM in another phone. This will help us work out whether the issue lies with the handset or the SIM itself.
