Change direct debit details to a joint account

Hi everyone, hope I can get some clarity and help. I have ID account and pay my bills via direct debit from my own bank account, ilwhuch is in my name only. I want to change my direct debit payments so that it comes out of my wife's and I joint account. Is this possible? When I go into the edit Direct Debit tab, it says the bank account must be in my name 🤷

Any ideas ?

Hey there ​@SwanseaJack1960, thank you for reaching out.

 

I believe that is correct, as you’ve mentioned, that your bank name will need to match the name on the account and the account holders for the contract.

 

However, if it’s a joint account, have you tried entering your own name, or does it say it doesn’t match?

Sorry for the late response, but my direct debit failed on my joint account even though my debit card is in my name, but the overall account is joint. So it seems ID mobile will only accept direct debit from an account *solely* in your name 😒

I’m afraid we only accept the direct debit in the account holders name.
