id mobile ripping us off again

Got new contact phone price at £26:99 but now saying got to pay £29:12. Why the jump, not what I sign for,

Best answer by andewhite

That’s probably because of the annual CPI + 3.9% price increase covered in the terms & conditions agreed at the point-of-sale with an iD handset contract, @Here we go again

For 2024, the CPI rate (+3.9% fixed rate) is 7.9% (https://idmobile.co.uk/cpi).

Hence, £26.99 x 1.079 = £29.12.

Hi @Here we go again

An increase from £26.99 to £29.12 is exactly as @andewhite suggests, an increase in the CPI rate.

This is mentioned in and agreed to at the point of sale.
