Despite my ID App telling me ‘We lock the price of your SIM only plan, so it doesn’t go up mid contract with annual price rises’, my monthly bill has gone up from £24.99 to £26.96, why is that?

Have you checked your monthly emailed bill?

 

This doesn’t sound like an increase by iD Mobile, however an increase due to premium usage.
