I took out a contract out for 26.99 a month with no price hikes for the duration of the contract but now my bill has went up to 28.85 I have not went over or have any extra charges on my bill so don't understand why they put it up when the said it would remain the same for the duration of the contract something not right.

If you signed a contract that came with a handset, the price will increase every April.

If you purchased a SIM only plan, the price will not increase every April.

Hi @Patricia Higgins

As @WelshPaul stated you will incur a price increase each April and this was be stated in the T&Cs of your contract.

If you purchased a 24 month phone plan before 15/01/2025, you might be affected by our CPI price increase.
The April 2025 CPI +3.9% adjustment will apply if you've upgraded to or purchased a new iD Mobile 24-month phone plan on or after 1st May 2023 and before 28th February 2025.

iD Mobile state ‘We’re introducing an annual fixed-price increase of £1.50 each April, moving away from unpredictable inflation-linked rises. This change is designed to provide you with clearer, more transparent pricing, making it easier to compare options and make informed choices.’
This only applies if you purchased or upgraded to a 24 month phone contract plan on or after 15/01/2025.

Hope this clarifys your situation x x
