Plan ends at 23:59 today, but I cannot make calls?

My plan says I have unlimited text and calls, and data remaining until 23:59pm today. But when I try to make a call it says I have no credit. The call is to a UK landline.

Was this Pay As You Go?

 

Pay As You Go:

Your Pay As You Go SIM plan will last for 30 days or until you’ve used up all your allowances.

 

It’s 30 days from the time of activation. So, if you buy the plan on the 01/04/2025 at 10:01am, the plan expires on the 01/05/2025 at 10am.

My plan ended on the 19th so I took the SIM card out of the phone. My question was why was I not able to make calls up to the end of my plan?

I’d recommend the same as ​@WelshPaul above, with a Pay As You Go plan, the time at which the plan went live would factor in to when it would then shut off.
