Before purchasing an eSIM, is my Google Pixel 8a unlocked?

How do I know if my Google Pixel 8a is unlocked? I'm travelling to USA soon and wish to use an eSIM but my phone needs to be unlocked.

Is it - I got it directly from ID on a monthly contract?

If you bought your Pixel 8a from iD Mobile, it’s absolutely unlocked.
